Taking Back Our Identity Day 4

Day 4: From Slavery to Freedom

Scripture
Romans 6:19
“Just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness… now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.”

Devotional
Everyone serves something. Before Christ, we served sin—even if we did not realize it. Our desires controlled us, and our choices led us further away from God. But salvation changes our allegiance. Paul teaches that we must now offer our lives to righteousness. This includes our talents, abilities, thoughts, and actions. Sanctification means being set apart for God’s purpose. It is the process of becoming the person God designed you to be.
The enemy stole your identity through sin. God restores it through righteousness.

Reflection Questions
1. What areas of my life have I not fully surrendered to God?
2. How can I use my abilities and talents for God’s purpose?
3. What does living a sanctified life look like for me today?

Prayer
Father, I surrender my mind, my body, and my gifts to You. Use my life for Your purpose and continue shaping me into who You created me to be. Amen.
