Taking Back Our Identity Day 3

Day 3: Understanding Iniquity

Scripture
Matthew 7:23
“Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’”

Devotional
The Bible uses the word iniquity to describe lawlessness or unrighteousness. Iniquity is deeper than making a mistake—it is habitual sin that shapes our character. It happens when we repeatedly choose our will over God’s will. Jesus warned that some people would appear religious but still live in lawlessness. Why? Because identity is not defined by what we say, but by how we live. The enemy wants us to believe grace means sin no longer matters. But true grace does not excuse sin—it empowers transformation. Taking back your identity means refusing to let sin define who you are.

Reflection Questions
1. Are there areas where I have normalized sin in my life?
2. Do my daily actions reflect my identity in Christ?
3. What habits need to change for me to live in righteousness?

Prayer
Lord, expose every area of lawlessness in my life. Give me the courage to repent and the strength to live in holiness. I choose to walk in the identity You have given me. Amen.
