How it all started...
From humble beginnings in the living room of our beloved Pastors, Michael and Lucretia Johnson. What started as a weekly night of worship grew into the vibrant ministry we are today. Our first location was a small key shop and then we moved to a building next to the animal hospital (both in Miamisburg), and we've been located in a strip mall on Kingsridge Drive for over 15 years now. We started as a worship center - just a group of believers who noticed that programs were becoming more important than worship in many churches in our area. We wanted to worship and be in God's presence, so we were led to launch our own worship center. Our worship services pulled on the heartstrings of heaven and we began to notice God's response to our worship in healings, miracles and deliverance that was taking place in His presence. Because God's presence was so heavy with signs and wonders, people didn't want to attend church as usual, so we launched Sunday services that focused on worship, but included teaching and preaching from the word of God. The name River of Worship was chosen by Pastor L. Johnson, even though she is with the Lord now, we continue the mission focusing on our 4 core areas: Worship, Alms, Discipleship and Evangelism (W.A.D.E).
